Abstract
Social engineering is a phrase not used commensurately enough to replicate its value to society, especially regarding how relevant it is to the contemporary milieu. In many aspects of life, including religion, politics, education, and other social interest areas, especially in African communities, there are general outcries of generational bankruptcy in norms, values, and morals, and ways of advancing positive social outlays in the society. This study underscores the need to highlight such positive prospects in social order, depict their impacts on society, and adopt ways to influence beliefs and opinions towards positive social consciousness. The objectives of this study include highlighting the concept of social engineering for wider cognition, stressing how organisations can invent avenues to influence and modify social thought and conscious intents to prompt positive values and disciplinary paradigms, and fostering a change of attitudes to embrace positive social values. Primarily, this study seeks to highlight the graphic arts imperative in modifying social engineering. This study at the end asserts that graphic design can be strategised to influence thought patterns and attitudes in order to inspire positive consciousness towards society. The methodology adopts a qualitative approach of visual and thematic analyses to present the imperative.
